To identify and address present and emerging material claims performance risks, to assist in delivering Claims Strategy and to provide market leadership in claims performance.
To deliver a robust performance management framework for claims which includes -
o Use of claims management information and data
o Formulating robust and proportionate market interventions
o Benchmarking of claims performance and case reserving
o Input and participation in driving and delivering claims performance enhancement programmes, claims related reviews/thematic activities
o Liaise closely as required with Customer Standards Oversight team and with
Influencing & negotiating skills.

Review and evaluation skills
Knowledge of insurance markets
Knowledge of claims, legal, regulatory, government, rating agency and policyholders issues
Knowledge of macro and micro landscape influences at an insurance level and macro global economic level influences Knowledge of relevant legal principles relating to claims in both UK and international markets
Technical competencies of tools such as SQL, Power-BI, Business Objects are not essential but will be advantageous
